Corporate Memberships

Membership is the property of the paying entity. If the corporation pays for membership, the membership belongs to the corporation. In the event that the individual members the corporation assigned should leave their position or no longer be an appropriate Florida Business Watch member, the corporation may reassign those memberships to new individuals. Likewise, if membership was paid for personally, the membership moves with the person to new jobs or companies.

Most corporate memberships allow for more than one person per membership (please see Member Benefits Page for specifics). You do not need to use all memberships in order to be a member at your selected level. The first person that joins for your company will be the Membership Administrator for your organization. That person will have the ability to add new members, change member information, adjust privacy settings, etc. That person will also be responsible for membership payments. If you need to change your Membership Administrator please contact our Membership Director.

Government Memberships

There is no cost to be a government member. Government members must be either elected officials or staff for a local government in Florida in order to qualify. Membership stays with the person, not the jurisdiction.

Terms of Membership

All memberships run for one full calendar year. However, in order to accommodate businesses that run on fiscal years, membership can be purchased for the next calendar year during the fourth quarter of the current calendar year.

Memberships are non-refundable.

For a complete understanding of the membership levels and services please view the Member Benefits Page. Any changes to membership levels, services, fees, etc will take effect in the following membership calendar year and will be outlined during the renewal process.

You are purchasing membership to an organization and access to the services we provide. There is no delivery of items. Once you complete your membership registration and payment you will receive an email confirmation of your membership.

Refund Policy
Memberships are non-refundable. Assignment of membership to specific people can be changed throughout the membership period. For more information on changing member representatives please see Corporate Memberships above.

Event registration costs are non-refundable. However, attendee assignment can be changed.

Privacy Policy

Florida Business Watch is committed to protecting users’ privacy. Our privacy policy is simple; we do not share any personal information with other agencies or persons unless required by law. In order to provide services to you, we may on occasion supplement the information you submit to us with information from third party sources (e.g., information from service providers, or the United States Postal Service).  We do this to enhance our ability to serve you and provide you with information we think you will find valuable.

Contact information is used to create your membership and send you regular or specific communications from Florida Business Watch. Financial information that is collected on-line is used to charge your credit or debit card for membership. That transaction is handled by the bank and Florida Business Watch staff does not have access to your financial information.

If you choose to pay for membership over the phone or in writing, Florida Business Watch staff will have access to your credit card number for processing. However, once the card has been approved Florida Business Watch staff will redact all but the last four numbers on our forms kept for accounting purposes. Florida Business Watch staff will use the same procedure for payments processed off-line for any membership activity or service separate from membership.

Membership Directory

Government members are not included in our online Directory.

Business members are by default included in the directory. Information automatically included from your membership application is membership level, company name, your name, title, email, phone, address and company website. Your Membership Administrator can adjust the privacy settings or contact Florida Business Watch Membership Director.

If your Florida Business Watch membership expires or is cancelled personally identifiable information is placed in "deactivated" status in Florida Business Watch databases. However, deactivation of your account does not mean information has been deleted from Florida Business Watch databases entirely.

Memberships are non-refundable.

Florida Business Watch Communications
Florida Business Watch’s primary form of communication is via email. You may alter your information or opt out of receiving communications at any time by having your Membership Administrator change your membership settings.
